Adrian and Gill have both been working hard for months now updating the brand and rolling out a whole new look and feel for ‘Releasing Potential’, a charity based in Havant who run programs for young people, involving anything from sailing to orienteering... We’re very much looking forward to the site going live and the brochure coming off the press.

This month Adrian has been drawing like a thing that draws, (pics to follow...), while Gill has been putting together wireframes for various clients – yipee we get to work on the nice bits in January. Merry Christmas!

We’ve been working on some promotional literature for Bristol Grammar School, promoting the use of their facilities for events – weddings, birthdays etc. They really do have an amazing venue, and right in the heart of Clifton too.

For the last three years Gill has produced a languages catalogue for Languages Direct, also based here at Spike Island, selling resources for language learning. According to David, one of the partners, Gill is a ‘safe pair of hands!’ We will take that as a compliment – thanks David!

Gill’s been working on a promotional leaflet for Solutions for Business. Sometimes it’s fun following brand guidelines!

Adrian has been involved with the North Bristol Art Trail for a number of years. The format and style of the brochures is all down to him, although he has passed on the work to other designers now... Here are a few versions from his archive.

Just found this job in the files – Adrian worked with composer Mark Lawrence to produce posters, flyers and a programme for this exciting community opera which was performed at the beautiful St Geroges.

Adrian and Gill have been working together on a brochure for the Technology Strategy Board – all in a rush for an exhibition in London next week. The document is the perfect job for us – a nice mixture of design and illustration.

Adrian’s been working on a new identity for a PR company in Lancashire – expanding our horizons to the sunny North! Limetree were looking for a fresh new approach, and it gave us the opportunity to work with our favourite colour – lime green!

Adrian and Gill have been working together designing a book cover for local Bristol author, Mike Manson. The book is hilarious! It’s set in the 70s and sees two hippies trek across Europe. This will be probably the fifth book Gill has worked on for Mike – hopefully a best seller!

Adrian’s been busy with lots of new projects, including a three and a four part flyer for BOVTS new productions – time to book some tickets!

This time last year we put together a new identity, brochure and exhibition stand for Barnes Educational, a family business who place German schoolkids with British families. This year, they’re back and we’re working for them again! We’ve just produced a second brochure and we’re starting work on the website in the next few weeks… (Gill still doesn’t understand a word of German!)

Gill was busy before her hols updating an existing logo for an interactive arm of a publishing company… website coming soon!

Featured in the AOI Best of British Illustrators Annual, ‘If I may…’ was also among selected works in the London exhibition – and it sold in the first week!

Ellie is a local artist who produces the most amazing sculptures, typograhic art and sculptural paintings. Adrian designed a brochure and flyers to try and capture in print the gorgeousness of her work.

Lots more work from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for Adrian: their very important book of graduating actors. Trip to the theatre anyone?!

More work from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for Adrian: their latest what’s on guide. Really must book some tickets...

This is the sixth year of the Bristol Impressions Calendar, started by a group of Bristol artists and becoming more and more popular each year. Adrian is involved with the Collective and the calendar also features his work. We also design it. Look out – it’s in the shops now!

Gill has been busy working on an identity for a new service: C2YRD – Customer to your desk. Customer insight made convenient. Stakeholders can see and hear what their customers really think and nothing is lost in translation – a great idea!

Adrian’s been working for Bodmin Plant & Herb for quite a few years now, designing all of their publicity. Initially he designed their logo, but as their business has thrived, so has his workload!

Gill has been doing lots of bits for The Design Programme – flyers, ads, an html newsletter, lots of forms – its a really nice brand to work with.

Adrian designs all of the literature for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School – posters, brochures, flyers and leaflets – and its a great opportunity for him to use different styles of illustration. Here’s a few recent styles.

Adrian spent a day at the farm and the seaside, well, not really, but here are some new illustrations...

Gill was approached to design a look and feel for 'The Language Experience', a new venture, launching in the autumn. Posters, leaflets and holding page with enrolment form were created. Everyone: learn a language!

'Moving Ahead' was a project culminating in a booklet and dvd, developed with the support of various local agencies including SecondStep Housing Association, written by Service Users telling their stories of homelessness. Reading their stories I felt very lucky.

Barefoot Bride is a great resource for those wanting to marry abroad – a vast market these days. We created a Media Pack and Personal Wedding Planner for Jen, Ms Barefoot (!). Watch out for changes to the website – coming soon!

Gill designed a new identity for ‘Designer Doors’, a subsidiary of Universal Aluminium – wood-look aluminium doors so wood-like it would confuse a termite! – and she had to work fast! In the space of a month a new logo, brand, brochure, exhibition stand, stationery and web site were created.

Lots more work from Connexions for Gill – always working on two versions – one for the young and one for the parents and carers...

Adrian curated, organised and put together the publicity materials for this exhibition at Paintworks, featuring over 20 different artists.

Adrian and Gill have been working together on an exhibition catalogue for the artist Matt White at Spike Island. It was tempting to have a ‘matt white’ cover but we would never make such a terrible pun... (hahaha!).

We’ve produced this ‘z-card’ for Connexions each year for a number of years. It’s a great way to get a lot of information into a tidy, tiny, little leaflet.

Adrian and Gill both entered posters into the Ink-Dot exhibiton held at the Colston Hall. The subject was 'Escape' and the colour palette was limited. Here are our solutions:

Gill was approached by SecondStep Housing Association to produce an identity, literature and website for ‘Compass Health’, a new project providing healthcare and medical services for homeless people. The project opened in early 2011.

Adrian designs all of the literature for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School – posters, brochures, flyers and leaflets – and its a great opportunity for him to use different styles of illustration. Here’s a few he's produced recently.

We were comissioned to create a new identity for an established cafe in the Stokes Croft area or Bristol. In a bohemian area, we wanted to create something slightly different to keep existing custom and attract new. A mixture of angel wings and coffee steam was born!

Gill has worked for Connexions ever since she was first self-employed 18 years ago! ‘Work Matters’ is just one of a series of brochures for them. It also has its own website, both with illustrations by Adrian.

Gill designed a new identity for architect John Waldron RIBA, who was delighted with the results: “Your design surprised me at first, but the more I look at it the more I think it reflects the essence of what my business is really about...” Thanks John!

Another job for Connexions West, Gill had to produce a perfect bound, pocket sized information booklet, ‘Life Matters’.

‘Never work with animals or children...’ Gill didn’t take any notice of the old saying and worked with photographer Jesse Alexander to produce a brand new look and feel and images for Best Practice Network, based in Bristol and working with nurseries all over the city. Actually we had lots of fun!

Recent start-up Kemia Finance were looking for an identity – professional and safe in these difficult financial times, and also cost-effective. We are currently working on their website.

Grange Physio needed a simple design which would work effectively across the wide-range of physio activies they offer.

We’ve done various bits of work for Bristol-based language school Living English, including these promotional packs, designed to inspire visitors to come and study in the South West.

Another couple of pieces from the archive – exhibition flyers and leaflets for work at the RWA and at Spike Island – Adrian has been busy!
